From the edge of the property to the beach is approximately 900 meters, a nice easy walk or an extremely short ride! Campamento has all the amenities expected at a beach resort, from pool, bar, and restaurant, to excursion services including fishing, horseback riding, and local tours.

 

The Design

Housing designs were chosen from North American plans to feature vaulted ceilings and large decks to take advantage of the unique feature of every lot having a spectacular view. The designs were then converted to comply with local building codes using local building materials. Any unnecessary North American amenities such as fireplaces, central heating, triple glaze windows, and insulation were eliminated. Mediterranean features like clay tile roofing have been added while replacing wood structural material with concrete. Like the Mediterranean, the houses are built to last several lifetimes.

The condominiums back into the steepest areas of the mountainside allowing for 2 stories without impeding any other properties view. All units are 2 bedrooms. Ground floor units feature a patio garden area off of the open concept kitchen/living area and each second story unit features a balcony off of the same open concept design. The condominiums feature a Santa Fe design to bring out the Spanish flavor of the community and enhance the ambience of the neighborhood.

The Development

Campa Vista is a Mediterranean style development. The gated community will be tiered down the mountainside providing panoramic ocean and mountain views that are unique to each lot. The community development is divided into ¼ acre lots, ½ acre lots, and condominiums set into the hillside. Since surveys only recognize a flat plane and do not consider terrain in the measurements, each lot is significantly larger in actual ground coverage than the lot measurements specify. The development covers 130 acres, has a circumference of 3.7 kilometers, and has 6.2 kilometers of interior streets. There are over 20 acres of green space featuring 2 fresh water springs, 4 rivers, hiking trails, and parks. The development is at the base of Capiro Calentura 4,000 foot mountain range consisting of the Capiro Calentura National Rainforest Park and overlooks the Caribbean Ocean and Trujillo Bay. The highest point of the development is 235 meters and the Bay Islands of Utila, Roatan, and Gunaja 60 kilometers across the water are visible.
